SnackAmp Portable

Submitted by evil baz on February 10, 2007 - 12:53pm

Tanisthalon and I had created the portable version of SnackAmp, a multi-platform music player with normal music player abilities, multi-user support, integrated web server, and a powerful AutoPlaylist feature. Currently mp3, wav, ogg vorbis, and many other sound files are supported.

Hope you all can help us testing this application, thanks ^^

Newer release posted. Topic locked.

After playing with XAMPP a bit more, I figured it would be handy to have an easy way to get a link to the XAMPP Control Panel to appear in the PortableApps Menu. So, I've posted a XAMPP Launcher. It's a simple package (in PortableApps Format so you can automatically add it) that just links to XAMPP's control panel when you have your typical setup (both PortableApps and xampp directories in your root directory).

Please give it a try. If people like it, I'll add it to the main XAMPP page.

TunnelierPortable v0.1.4.22 available

Submitted by vbap on February 9, 2007 - 12:07am

Hello everyone,

I'm new here, so please be nice Smile

I've created a PAF launcher for a program called Tunnelier (http://www.bitvise.com/tunnelier). Tunnelier is commercial software, but can be used freely for personal use.

Tunnelier is a great gui-based SSH/SFTP client. I have used PuTTY in the past, but the user-interface, particularly for setting up SSH tunnels, is cumbersome. Also, I would also need a separate SFTP program (Filezilla or lately WinSCP). I had used tunnelier a few years ago, but found it wasn't portable (or so I thought).

App Launcher

An update and a name change for AutoLauncher4U3.
Added an environment variable option.
This will set an environment variable to point to the drive letter of your usb drive.
You can use this in apps that don't support relative paths in ini or config files as well as shortcuts.
Also changed the name to reflect the app isn't just for U3 drives.
For "regular" USB drive set the autorun.inf to run autolauncher, it will set the environment variable and launch PAM or other apps.

New update, changed the name to App Launcher to avoid confusion.
Added two additional custom app fields.

NetBeans Portable

For all you coders out there, I have come across config file in the NetBeans Directory (\NetBeans\etc\netbeans.config). In there the important parts read as follows:

# ${HOME} will be replaced by JVM user.home system property
netbeans_default_userdir="[Your JVM user.home Path]"

# default location of J2SE JDK, can be overridden by using --jdkhome switch
netbeans_jdkhome="[Your JDK Path]"

Now here comes the important part:
