Testing of beta versions of apps before public release.
I've posted a pre-release of Gaim Portable 2.0 Beta 6. This updates Gaim to the new 2.0 Beta 6 release.
I have updated my 4 current released portable applications, basing them on the 0.9 version of the PAF (Portable Apps Format) that John used with the release of the PAM (Portable Apps Menu). Each has also been UPX'd to make them as small as possible. They are all ready for beta testing.
I have created XChat Portable and need people to test it. I used Sergio's Win32 XChat build using static GTK. Please post your comments. Grab it here: http://titanous.com/portableapps/XChat_Portable_2.6.8-3s.paf.exe
First, let me say I think you folks are doing an awesome job! I know Portable Apps and USB drives are going to be the next big thing, and the day of the bulky harddrive s will be gone like the floppy drive.
I have been beta testing MS Vista since its first release, and various bootable usb apps and operating systems.
I am interested in beta testing all Portable apps that you are all working on and can provide some great technical feedback to help get them ready for full production release quickly.
John said he would post a link but never did, can someone post one so i can try it out?
I'm planning on making a Vista themed menu for the new PortableApps Menu. It will have glass and I hope to include icons and other stuff.\
Hopefully it won't take that long to make, so I'll update this when its ready.
EDIT
Its ready!
I am including two versions in this release, a glass, and a non-glass version. Just download the .zip and extract it to your usb, not in the PortableApps menu folder. To choose which version of the menu you want, go to \PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\App\DefaultData and rename your style to Theme. Enjoy.
I made portable version of Pixel image editor and posted URL to this forum so people can actually test it (it's not available anywhere else yet).
I got URL deleted with message I'm self promoting my product because it's not open source. Admin gotta be kidding, self promoting something in this forum
Since he knows what people want and removed URL to download, I deleted Pixel portable... how a nice day.
I just posted the 2nd release candidate of Shortcut Creator 4U3.
New in this version:
The help file is finally included.
I rearranged the entry fields a little.
Changed the icon to look like the windows shortcut arrow.
Added a new installer.
I didn't get any negative feedback from the first candidate release so this should be the last candidate release.
Let me know how it works.

Here are a few different colour variations of the original. I hope John does not mind modifying his theme. Please delete if it's not allowed.

Hey all you PortableAppers,
I worked out a theme that I call "Wonders of Nature". I designed it for those who are concerned about space on their drive. you can get it from (and view it from):

just save as John instructed
Please post any feedback so I can improve it
Note: this is my RC2(of 3) (I've had others test it, they say it works fine but I want to make sure before I say that it is the best it can be)
