floAt's Mobile Agent

Submitted by z_stoichev on February 23, 2007 - 4:16am

Hello!

floAt's Mobile Agent or FMA for brief, is a Sony-Ericsson mobile phone tool for Phone and SIM book editing, Calendar, bookmarks, alarms handling, SMS archive and organizer, which could sync Phone book to Microsoft Outlook contacts.

Starting from version 2.1 beta 4 could be used as portable application. The application checks if it is started from Removable device (an USB stick) and enters in Portable mode automatically. Or it could be forced to do so by setting a command line switch "/PORTABLE" without quotes.

PortableAppsMenu Drive Space Slider

I know its already been suggested so don't flame me for reposting.
But I figured out how to do the drive space slider to give folks what they want and it is so simple I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.
Just reverse the logic, instead of expanding left to right to display drive used space, expand right to left to display free space and use the "darker" image for the slider and the "lighter" image underneath.

I'm proud to announce the posting of a pre-release of GIMP 2.2.13. This is a multilingual package (an english-only one will be posted as well). This version updates to 2.2.13 and adds in full Vista compatibility. It's also now packaged in PortableApps.com Format.

Also new in this release is the ability to store GTK in a CommonFiles directory. In a standard setup, this would be:

X:\PortableApps
----\CommonFiles\
--------\gtk\
----\GimpPortable\
... etc

Just be sure to delete the GIMPPortable\App\gtk directory if you use this feature.

WidgetsPortable Launcher

I created a launcher for Yahoo Widgets using the PortableApplication Template.
This is the launcher only, but include instructions on how to download and extract without having to install to PC.
If you have it installed however you can just copy the files to the app\widget directory.

Updated the launcher for 4.0 version.
You will have to download the installer and extract the necessary files using Universal Extractor.
The widgets are stored on the flash drive and not copied to the local profile folder, it takes to long to copy all the widgets all the time.

OpenOffice.org Portable 2.1 Pre-Release 1

I've just posted a pre-release of OpenOffice.org Portable 2.1. New in this version is a long-awaited feature: the ability to use Java from the portable device. This means you can use the OpenOffice.org functionality that depends on Java (Wizards, some Base functions, etc) even from a PC that doesn't have Java installed.

Java is not yet GPLed, so it can not be hosted on SourceForge. Nor can it be repackaged due to licensing. So, you'll need to supply your own.
