I have been told Malwarebytes that the "start.exe" has malware.
The description is "MachineLearning/Anomalous97%"
It quarantines "start.exe" immediately.
Malwarebytes has been informed on this.

I found tree instances of the word "anomalous" they were about programs not "start.exe."

My computer ended up putting a fake error on my usb which ended up closing all the apps and the platform itself. I then tried to relaunch the platform but it would not launch. Then I tried upgrading it with the installer, which also did not work. I then tried to do it again, but deleting the Start EXE beforehand but now the updater won't even recognize it as a usb with PortableApps installed. Now, I'm stuck with all my data unrecoverable. Please help.

Hello PortableApps community!

I want to install PortableApps Platform on a separate SSD from the OS one and install on the same SSD, the Apps I use and find in "Portable" format.
My question is, what will happen if I need to reinstall OS, will stay the apps saved and ready to go?
Even if apps are installed on intern SSD do they need to be manually closed before Sleep/Restart/Shutdown?
The most I'm thinking of, do portable Apps have the same performance as installed apps?
Hope my questions are not that stupid. Hope someone can help me. Thanks!

Hi, John was helping me out on a recent post however I am no longer able to reply... I can preview the message fine, but whenever I try and then post ("save") it I keep getting an error saying: "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later."

I've tried posting a markdown, html and plain text, and replying to both his comment and to the post overall but no joy -- Is anyone able to advise please?

Does anyone know if it's possible to run PortableApps from a Zoho Workdrive folder?

PortableApps Updater (and the application page) reports that Smart Defrag version 8.4.0.259 is available. The "Download from Publisher" link on the application page directs a user to the PortableApps/Downloads Releases page on Github, but the version currently available there is 8.3.0.252.

Please update the link, or push the newer version to the Releases page.

I installed chrome portable version on my UBS drive.
But after un plug and try to use in another device I loss my data on it.
What is the best solution for it?

I recently tried to back up my FF portable profile and found it located on the C:/ ... apps/data/roaming... folder on the last machine that I used. This was found using the about:profiles function.

Is Firefox now designed like Chrome where you can't back up a full profile without it creating a fresh blank profile?
