[Fixed] Cache files left behind due to a bug in RawTherapee

Submitted by ajax on September 4, 2017 - 5:19pm

RawTherapee (RT) is a portableapp used for processing the raw files produced by many digital cameras. It has been discovered that large numbers of files that are cached for the purpose of aiding transition from one invocation of RT to the next are being transferred/stored on the local machine. This data may be very personal. It is precisely to avoid such a phenomenom that is one of the primary reasons for desiring to use portable applications in the first place.

Markdown and CODE enabled, PRE tweaked

I've added in a processing filter for MARKDOWN and CODE in forum posts and comments sitewide ("Filtered HTML" text elements only). Note that only specific elements of MARKDOWN are supported (there are about 10 different competing versions of MARKDOWN and the Drupal extension supports a specific one with only some elements) and are then fed through the allowed HTML filter bits after. So, no tables or quick hash for code as they are incompatible.

Looking For Short-Term PA Mentor

Submitted by DoctorVolt on August 23, 2017 - 7:15pm

Hi, there! I'm looking for someone who can walk me through the process of creating installers for PortableApps. My goal in this is to get to the point where I can operate independently, but I need someone that I can work with while learning the software to get there.
I already have a self-contained application to start with, and I've read some of the documentation in the Development area, so it won't be starting from scratch.
If anyone is willing to help me out, please let me know!

Firefox - DownthemAll

I noticed something odd with Downthemall, then saw a comment over at AMO that the downthemall extension for Firefox is being discontinued? Is this true? If so, can someone recommend a replacement? I like the simplicity of the browser plugin, not really wanting to go to a download manager unless I absolutely have to. Mods, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I don't know where it belongs.

Policy Proposal: Edit old DevTest/PR threads as [Outdated] or [Released] when no longer maintained

Suggested Policy Change: Old threads should be marked as such with either [Outdated] or [Released], with links at the top to the new place to find download(s) of the project (whether that be a new thread, or an Official Release page).
