Hello Forum,
Have some portable programs installed on the portable platform in a usb stick.
When I am trying to eject it, I close the platform's window, click on "End task" in the Task Mgr, then I try to eject it from the file explorer. It says that something is still open in some program - but it is not. Then I restart windows explorer, but it still refuses to eject. Go to the "Devices" and try to remove it - it still says some program holds it and to close 'that' program. There is no program opened.
1. How can I find what holds it, or,

i wish you will be made secure the apps or files with an nativ option on startup the luncher. crypted apps or appfile with an password.
nobody how find my usb-stick should read my personal app-data (browser, chat...)

i know i can use use the portable veracrypt but thats not comfortable for the PortableApp.com Luncher... i think that is a Job for the PortableApp Luncher!

i wish i can disable updates for personal apps because maybe i like the old version of an portable app.
maybe you can think about it

Hi everyone, I got a new software, mindmanager 2019, which I would like to use as an App, does somebody knows if there's a third-party that can help me installing it as an app on PortableApps.com?
It shouldn't be that difficult but yet I can't make it work myself and I have little time to make researches and test it.

I am happy to pay a fee for the help.

Zint supports CL operation:
zint.exe -d "This Text"
etc.

Does it Zint Portable too? At the moment I am unable to do it. Even the simplest example
ZinPortable.exe -d "This Text"
(e.g. in a Windows shortcut:
"C:\ZintPortable\ZinPortable.exe" -d "This Text")
just opens the app and generates no code.

Somebody here who is familiar with Zint Portable?

Today, the browser has been updated and lost the session in 100+ tabs. In the settings of the "On Start" switch from the "Previously opened tabs" state, I switched to the "Open start tab" state. This is a disaster, guys. Files Last Session and Current Session lost ....

Over the past 3 months this happened twice.

Aloha everybody,

New here and love to work use portableapps since I am on a hp Stream 13 with almost no space after update of Win 10 home. I wonder if I can start portable apps directly from my desktop or the taskbar without selecting em in the menu.

Next question would be if there is a very slim windows ( I would go Linux but need Office 2016 for my work) that can be installed.

There is official Firefox out..Version 63.0.3...On Portable Apps Location still 63.0.1...when will be an update for FF...???

The problem loooks like MS block set default app on extensions file for any portable app. Not only for portableapp.com. all other too.

If try doing that by right mouse click choose app and set checkbox, it cant set.

And you can not find protable app in list options panel(new control panel) win 10 home.
