I want know are there any portable ISO files making software? If so please tell me is name.
Is there a way to run an app that is not in a standard directory?
For example, I run a bootCD image off of my thumb drive as well as PortableApps. There are a few tools in the bootCD directory I would like to add to my PortableApps menu, but want to keep in their folder off the root directory for the USB drive.
Any Ideas?
Hi all--
I have always used a Kingston or SanDisk for Live Boot and Portable App scenarios, but being in the field so often I'd like to get one of the wee little keys. Do y'all have any experience with these in Portable App and Live Boot scenarios?
I am switching to Portable Apps from [illegal software].
The latter, however, has an advantageous feature of grouping the apps under headings like Audio, File Management, Graphics etc.
How can I do that in Portable Apps?
I've discovered a couple errors in the update.ini:
CoolPlayer+Portable:
DisplayVersion is currently listed as 2.19.12, this should be 2.19.2
DShutdownPortable:
DisplayVersion is currently listed as 1/72.1, this should be 1.72.1
I was manually deleting the files of Warzone 2100 because it was having some malfuntioning problems, and when I was deleting the "Data" file it said that there were system files within it and that it might make a program not work. I still continued to delete the files when it said that there was an error and it wouldn't delete the files.
PLEASE RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Thank you very much!
Is there any possible way to add custom links to the right side of the PortableApps Menu below Documents and such? I have made it possible to have the PortableApps Updater in the 1.6 Version, but want to make a link in the Menu so I don't have to navigate to the directory where the executable is located. Please post if you have any solutions to this. If it is not possible, that's fine, I just was wondering if it's possible. Here's a link on my website for an example of what I mean if you don't understand:
Mod Note - Although this bug is now fixed in the current PortableApps.com Installer 3.0 and the platform's installer, some apps still use an older version. The PortableApps.com Platform works around this and allows installation after the error message is shown. All apps will be updated in the coming months.
Why is the portableapps icon not shown in the autorun launch list? This is my autorun.inf
[autorun]
open=StartPortableApps.exe
Action=Start PortableApps.com
Icon=PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\usb.ico
