Hi community,
my IT department mandated to remove all non sponsored application / software from my work PC. So, as a real newbie as I am, I started to investigate how I could continue to use my favourite browser and apps.

After a search on search engine I found PortableApps website and easily installed the softwares I need. Unfortunately I did on an old USB and I quickly found that it was performing poorly. So I got myself a USB 3.0 mini dongle and re-installed everything, improving a lot the performance.

Hi, I registered today but I have been using the site for some time with satisfaction.
I hope to be in the right section ... I would like to have a login option as an option in the app manager (portable apps platform) to synchronize the various PCs I use. So I would have the opportunity to always have my favorite applications installed without going to look for what new installations from scratch or even just to have the same apps in the office on the work PC and at home on the personal PC.

Hi, I use the Foxit reader 9.7 from the portableapp.

I see there is a button "share with friends" in the menu bar, also in the File sub menu.

Any one knows how to remove it?

On the site mars.algoritmika.org constantly writes "Your browser does not support WebGL". The latest version of Google Chrome Portable 64 v80.0.3987.149 is now installed. Win 10 x64. Notebook ASUS M50S. The NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS video card driver is the latest available. This has never happened before. Hi all. I've put up a new page when clicking Antivirus Scan from some app pages. It's just on the Accessibility apps so far for a quick test. We've had some folks unfamiliar with VirusTotal think that a couple false positives mean that a file is infected. The new page is meant to alleviate that issue. Please check out, for example, Balabolka Portable and click the Antivirus Scan button below the download button to try it out and let me know what you think.

Creating a portable app, it needs a DLL in system32 (one from Visual C++) and I have tried the app with the DLL in the same folder as the .exe but it doesn't work unless it's in system32. How is it possible to handle this? Would it mean I would have to create an app that requires admin access to add the DLL to system32?

I think you already noticed it but the whole images of the site are broken.
I checked the console and it is saying this on a fresh Google Chrome install:

The certificate is a hour behind so it thinks it's invalid cause my clock changed for DST

Hi, so I started using portable apps recently. I deemed this website safe and assumed the code+files had been scanned in order to earn the right to be displayed here. This was until I noticed the manual Antivirus scan on the individual app page. I scanned the apps I was using and most of them were laced with something, so I just deleted everything. I think it is a pity, portable apps has a lot of potential and I considered this website my main repository. Are developers or admins doing anything to combat this?
