I just begun using Portableapps, what a great tool!

I'm very curious, what does the bottom search bar do? I can't seem to find out how to use it..

Currently, there are some false positives in a handful of antivirus engines delaying the release of DSynchronize Portable 2.30.6. These are in the base app and usually the responsibility of the publisher to handle, but the publisher is a bit busy and unfamiliar. So, we're looking for some help.

There is a new freeware file manager with some unique features and minimalistic UI for Windows 7 and 8. You can check out http://onecommander.com for the overview with animated GIFs and download link. Works from Dropbox, USB, HDD (as long as you don't place it in system folder like Program Files) because settings are saved in program folder.

I would like to use xamp on portable apps on my work PC for some development. Can anyone tell me if any would be able to see this webserver running locally or any evidence of it on the network?

I've attempted to download McAfee Stinger Portable ver 12.1.0.992 twice since it was uploaded 7-14-14. Both times, my Norton 360 killed it immediately saying:

We haven't had a new official app release for more than a month. Is there an issue I don't know about? I wish there were some way to know what the next app to be released is.

I have an extremely old home computer running Windows XP and I only have 15 gigabytes of hard drive space and no matter what I do, I can't free up any more space that 150 megabytes. I've tried powerful uninstallers, antiviruses and even whole PC care suites but those did little to free up my hard drive. And now my only option is wiping the hard drive. I got my PC used so I have nothing except the PC itself, no documentation or CDs. I need to erase everything on my hard drive except for Windows, preferably to factory default. Are there any FREE Windows utilities that can do this?

Example: I've got rid of most of IE locally.

Results: Fine.

OK...I've got XBMC running totally portable
from a USB stick...I can execute it from a
.bat or .cmd file using the xbmc -p portable switch
and all my adddons/setup have been transferred from
the hidden folder users\userfolder\AppData\Roaming\XBMC...
Everything works great...But I'll be d*mned if I can
get it to run from the PortableApps menu...I tried
converting the .bat file to an .exe file using several
utilities but it comes up with a not recognized internal
or external command when running it (Doesn't do that when running from
