Is there any way to add a link to an app that is already portable (but not in the paf.exe format) in the Launcher?
These days most people have 64-bit computers*. So, will it be too difficult for the developers to include a "Install 64-bit version only" option in the installers of dual-architecture portable apps like Firefox Portable?
*Please refer to these stats: https://www.pcbenchmarks.net/os-marketshare.html
I noticed that every PortableApps applications seems to have at least 1 '.nsh' file in its folder.
I'm just curious:
1. What does "nsh" stand for?
2. What generates these files?
3. What is their purpose?
Thanks.
I created a Portable apps USB 3 Stick in 2017-2019 - not sure exactly
And today upgraded to:
* Version 18.0.1 [2021-06-15]
And now I am updating the apps that needed update...?
Are you suggest update the apps or format USB stick and recreate it...?
I want to run Portable apps USB 3 Stick on all platforms and Windows 11...!
Hi, please can I check about the following two points:
a) confirm that the 'X' button, which I read is the close button, is present so that the PorableApps can be closed, without needing to eject a USB stick. Just this seems to be a duplication of the option offered by a right click of the power button - and so am wondering if there is some additional other function/use to the X button.
Hi, I only just discovered your very interesting portable app manager!
However I'm not following how all app related (temporary working) files and/or app config data, can be fully cleaned up (and guaranteed as such), and thus a system kept secure and clean.
Hello PortableApps.com Team, I know that some of PortableApps.com's app launchers are not generated with PortableApps.com Launcher Generator, but rewritten with NSIS language (NSI source file).
I configured the proxy manually, so I can display the list of programs. But when I try to download some program, this error appears:

this is the link:
Just released a little project I've been working on for the last few weeks:
https://github.com/cubiclesoft/portable-apps-mirror-proxy
It's a mirror/proxy server for the Portable Apps platform designed for LAN usage. Kind of WSUS-like but specifically for use with the client updater software via its HTTP(S) proxy configuration mechanism.
Will not download in any of my browsers(Brave, Firefox, Edge), marked as Virus. Also marked as "dangerous file" in my EmsiSoft Antimalware and Kaspersky Security Cloud full-version programs.
