I use this on my PC and it appears to work well alongside Avast. I realise there may be better software that could work well with ClamWin. Before I open my browser or any other app it would be nice to scan the system I intend to use to see what is running on there, as I'm using my flash drive in library's and internet cafes etc.

Hi everything,
I really trying to get ahold of a descent Portable Newsgroup Reader for my Portableapps Suite, at the moment I'd really like to use "newsrover.com"'s one, as I have used it in the past, and found it great to use.

Yet I have no idea on how to make it work indepently on a USB Flash Drive..

Please can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Paul.F

MAME!

Not looking for a reply, just manifesting an old desire. MAME's nice and likely portable (sure looks portable since I run it from a folder without installation). Ignore or delete the post if it's not appropriate.

It says on MAME site it's free and it's source code is free, and it can be distributed under certain circumstances. Hell if I know what that means, but the license is here:

Update utility for portable apps.

I have an idea for an app, its not something that exists as far as I know and I think it should be part of the suite.

All to often I get a notification from an app that there's a newer version but that's usually in the main program not the portable version but however if there was a tool that checked all of the apss you have installed and compared them to the versions that are on portableapps.com. Kinda like a one click update utility.
