Volume Hotkey Control

Submitted by Devo on May 23, 2008 - 12:14pm

I'm sorry that I don't have an actual app to request, just an idea for one. I tend to change the volume on my computer a lot and hate having to click on the icon to bring up the slider.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to have an app that sets hotkeys to change the Master Volume on the computer. Something like Ctrl+Shift+Up to increase the volume and Ctrl+Shift+Down to decrease the volume and maybe Ctrl+Shift+0 to mute. I know this could conflict with other hotkeys, but it is just an idea.

Duplicate files finder

Submitted by Emrys on May 23, 2008 - 11:43am

I was wondering if anyone knows of an open source application for finding duplicate files such as these ones from portablefreeware.com:

I generally use "Duplicate File Finder" since it is so small and simple. However, the only option is to delete files. I would like an option to move dupliates to another folder location. Any ideas?

Suggestions for the installer of PortableApps

Submitted by duhowpi on May 23, 2008 - 2:16am

Hi everybody. I have some suggestions for the installer. If it can, I like that in the installer could choose between the applications that can download and install, as PortableAppsUpdater. For example, I download a file, and when I execute it, it show all the apps that exist and allows me to choose whom I want. Is only a suggestion.
