I searched the forum to find out if foxit PDF reader is portable or not and some threads say yes and others say no. My understanding is that it leaves an entry in the registry but will run from a usb drive. Is this correct?

I would like to request Portable Gedit. I just started web development (more like, web learning), and I find gedit extremely helpful (it is simple, small, and "colorful" -i.e. can recognize code-).
thanks
PS. here is the link: http://www.gnome.org/projects/gedit/
It has been discussed before, but the threads have gone nowhere.

Im looking to download the manga thats on the tokyopop website, they use a manga player that uses java script and id like to be able to download them somehow so i don't have to revisit the website to read the manga. Is there some kind of portable app(or even a firefox add on) that will allow me to download this?
