Portable Songbird?
I am interested in useing Songbird as a portable App. Songbird is a open source clone of iTunes. A portable version would allow for playing music etc.

WinPooch can integrate with ClamWin by looking for it in the registry and loading up ClamWin.conf. If I hard code some absolute paths in the registry and my own ClamWin.conf file then I can force WinPooch to scan all files with my portable ClamWin (actually I'm just using plain old ClamAV with a GUI nearby).
It's not quite right though - WinPooch always comes up with an "all clear" report asking if I'm sure I want to continue - even though the report says everything is fine.
I've tried making WinPooch call clamwin.exe with the --no-summary and -i (infected only) switches, but they don't stop the popup from WinPooch - they just make the popup show an empty box and still asking if I want to open it.
I'm not too sure it can be done, as I toyed with it for a good bit of time.
If anyone has any pointers I'm open to suggestions.
I'm very impressed with portable apps, as user.
I wish I could share these softwares with a good friend of mine.
Infortunately, bieng disabled, he cannot use the scroll bars because they are too narrow (He emulates a mouse cursor with his eye sight).
Would it be possible to find a way to widden scroll bars (15 mm) ?
I also notice that sometimes the "fixed size" windows don't show all their content (buttons, label... like smartision Screencopy in "mode avancé").
In other word, is it possible to custumize window frames(setup file ?)
On my wishlist.

Hey, would someone be able to create a portable version of the BitTorrent client Azureus or BitTornado?
Has anyone gotten Belarc Advisor http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html to work from a USB drive?
Some work has been done to get it to work from a bootable CD but has thus far been unsuccessful.

It's a little bit strange in that you don't run an executable, you actually run a DLL with the following command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Belarc\Advisor\System\NPBelv32.dll,RunDll32_ShowLocalPage -p60 -bAdvisor.bcx
When I run it from the USB drive I get a message like this:
Belarc Advisor: Template file problem: \System\siteDefaultSummary.html contains an invalid path
Hi,
gqview (http://gqview.sourceforge.net/) is a very nice image viewer. Recently, someone startet a win32 port (http://gqview-win.sourceforge.net/). It uses GTK, but if GIMP can run, this can too.
Would be great to see!
Thanks,
Joachim
Hello all,
Im just starting to get into portable applications and the scene is so amazing!
it would be great if Gizmo project was ported its a skype alternative that is cheaper for landline out/in calling purposes. ( see: http://www.gizmoproject.com/ ) I have read here there was an attempt on a portable skype but was questioned because of the legal status of it since skype is not an opensource application (see https://portableapps.com/node/751)
