hope somebody can develop a portable media organizer or movie organizer, which creates a database of my usb media files.

Would love to see SRWare Iron as a PA. I am already using the portable version but would be fantastic to see it as PA so that automatic updates would be available with the upcoming new PA platform.

Yes it's only been 2 years since the call went out for a Synergy PA. This is the app allows the user to take over a nearby visible Synergy-equipped machine, the mouse being scrolled onto the new box and so making the host's mouse and keyboard usable on it.

My idea is that it would be useful to have such a prog on a USB stick to be stuck in a customer's machine to link with an equipped workshop machine. This would allow one to run the customer's machine from a familiar keyboard and mouse and simplify copy and pasting between the machines (another of Synergy's skills).

I'd love to see a portable version of this app. It works very well, it's an extremely useful too for anyone who uses ebay a lot.

Here's a thought. Since so many portable apps have full-size, near identical counterparts, the update process doesn't necessarily work (this means YOU, FireFox!)

The update tends to point to the latest and greatest in the larger world community and ignores the fact that you are updating from a portable version.

I'd like to see a portable version of Hot Potatoes, a software that I like using for school.

The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like. It is not open-source.

Although there is a zip file available that can be run from a USB drive, the software creates several registry keys and file associations.
