Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.
I believe it to be open source now
I realise that there's already 2 official media players (and a few others floating around), but I thought this one showed potential.
Kantaris is a media player based on code from VLC & Bass audio library. The interface is similar in style to MS media player 11, so it would be easy for new comers to pick up and use.
It is also an open source media player as well.
Could you make a Safari 3.0 for Portable Apps?
It already exists, and its open source, a version of the ATutor Learning Content Managements system that runs from a USB stick on a Windows system. Normally used over a network, this version of ATutor is handy for learning content developers, allowing them to carry the system and its authoring and packaging tools with them.
Hey All,
I want to ask if it is possible to make a portable version of PyMol, which is a molecular visualization software?. I tried to use the kit to make a portable version but no luck (most likely because I'm a complete beginner when it comes to computers).
Cheers,

Do you know any open source ftp server?
I would like to see something like hfs - http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/, which is a very good portable webserver.
Open Workbench 1.1.4 at http://www.openworkbench.org/
Surely a very good product.

I was looking through a pcworld.ca article called "Great Free Files: 20 Fantastic Open Source Downloads" and I stumbled across this utillity that scans a network and creates a list of everything attached to that network.
RogueScanner web page: http://www.networkchemistry.com/products/roguescanner.php
Since I couldn't find it in the search area, I thought I would put a request in for it.
Hi all,
I'm an Oracle DBA and a flash drive user. I use the Oracle SQL*Plus instant client and Command Prompt Portable to take care of most things, but a nice Admin tool is what I've been looking for. I think I may have finally found the thing! Please check out TOra - the Toolkit for Oracle. The website is http://tora.sourceforge.net/.
