Could there be a possibility for the application "john the ripper"? So we can test the strength of passwords on different machines instead of a live CD of linux ..etc?

I know there have been many requests for a portable RealPlayer and I am aware that this is a licensed software that cannot legally be made into a portable app. Is it possible however to make a portable version of Real Alternative?
I work in an office where I cannot install any applications on the PC and would like to be able to stream some real media files off the net. I have tried all the copying of DLL files into Portable Firefox but that still requires Real to be installed on the host computer.
The GIMP fork that gives it a very Photoshop-like interface is much simpler for folks who have used the Adobe original to deal with.
Since it is a fork of the GIMP, it should be fairly straightforward to make portable--the result would be a choice, much like NVu and KomPoSer. http://plasticbugs.com/?page_id=294
