I know this would be very intensive and difficult to do, but do you think that you could package WINE so that I can run my portable apps on a Linux box without WINE installed locally?

I recently discovered portableapps.com. The site and the concept have a future. One of the first programs I looked for was a portable keyboard macro program, which would be very useful when going from computer to computer. I did not find one at portableapps.com. However, in searching the Internet I found AutoHotkey at http://www.autohotkey.com/. It is opensource and looks very promising, comes in an installer or in a zip file with the files (not an installer simply zipped).
is already portable, i have used it before
but the roms are not....
(it's a gameboy emulator)
&RQ - it's an ICQ-client. Very powerful and nice
Small size, portable contact list with save\load options from\to isq server, visibility check, save settings in .INI file, no records to registry, local history, many skins. I use it myself as portable messenger. So, as you see it's really good...
portable, but i don't believe it's open source
I do a lot of work from school computer labs where I don't have an administrative account. I would find it really handy to connect to my home PC using FreeNX.
Here is a link to the client website:

If your development section were complete I could probably create it myself and submit it to you community.
Thanks for OOo its fantastic.
i like the fact that blender3d comes in a zip format enabling ppl to run it from a usb, having wings3d portably would be really nice. i hope it's possible specially since it's open source. any chance guys? john?
Any portable quicktime and realplayer media players?
Hi there,
just to let you know there is a couple of applications already portable that may be interesting for you. I've used them on my portable hard drive in the past year and found them really useful, so there you go:
IE Privacy Keeper (takealong version) privacy tool (clean up browsers and system leftovers)
http://www.browsertools.net/IE-Privacy-Keeper/takealong.html
SCR (search and replace, standalone executable, I use it for quick and massive code replacement in my site html files)
http://soft-central.net/scr.php
I don't have the link for the following ones, but I suppose you can just look for the standalone executable files in Google:
