Jaws Mailclient - Because Thunderbird 78 will loose GnuPG-support

Submitted by a.borque on June 5, 2020 - 3:51am

Hello!
May I strongly support the addition of Claws Mailclient to the official PortableApps repositories?!

Reason:
Claws will be the only open source mailclient with GnuPG-support after the imminent release of Thunderbird 78:

Thunderbird 78 will loose the ability to run the Enigmail plugin and thus won't be able to interact with GnuPG.
For all I know TB will get its own OpenPGP-integration, but it will lack many of GnuPGs features, won't be certified and might even be postponed to a later Point-release.

Thanks for considering!

3DNA was once a Virtual Desktop alternative to Windows & has a little cult-following by those such as myself who miss its unique adaptation of a windows desktop environment. Our wish is to have this now old-school application to be born again as a Portable Apps program. The original creators of this program are long-gone although I caught a clue while sailing the web with a gentle breeze that one of the 3DNA creators is now ivolved in oculus vr development.

Barcode reader (can be ZBar)

Submitted by RaphaelRB on May 18, 2020 - 10:47pm

We already have a great barcode generator, but it would be good to have a barcode reader.

ZBar is a great software, it can read a barcode from a picture or camera. It is "an open source software suite for reading bar codes from various sources, such as video streams, image files and raw intensity sensors. It supports many popular symbologies (types of bar codes) including EAN-13/UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR Code."

I know, it has been already requested here, 8 years ago.. But..

I really appreciate Q-Dir, even if I don't really use it (I'm a qttabbar lover to be honest). But by browsing its developer's page, I've found a lot of nice stuff, including → FontViewOK.
So, it would be nice if this sofware is added to the PA list.
