Screen Cam App ?

Submitted by RossGoodman on June 25, 2007 - 9:24am

Hiya

This is off topic but I thought this was the best place to post this.
I'm looking for an open source (preferably portable) application that I can use to record activity on my screen and allow me to record/overlay speech.

I want to do a demo to everyone in my company as to what/where/how/when portable apps should be used. The easiest way would be to post a "recorded" demo on our extranet. The last time I did this; many moons ago, I had access to Lotus Screen Cam. I no longer have access to this and I can't find a suitable replacement.

Any suggestions?

Portable Safari (The best browser in the world)

Safari is now available for pc! It is the best browser simply because it is made by Apple. Now it is available for PC It could be made into a portable app. There shouldn't be a problem about it being a beta. The only problem i can think of is John H persuading Apple to let him make it portable and distribute it (because copyright and such). Post suggestions here

portable frostwire(suggestion)

Submitted by johnnyrico on June 20, 2007 - 7:37am

In response to all the requests for a portable limewire, which is not possible primarily cause it's not open source, I would like to suggest Frostwire.

For those of us who don't know Frostwire, Frostwire is an open source Limewire clone.
it is nearly identical in UI to limewire, works like limewire pro(dl from 10 sources simultaneously instead of 8 sources) and also has bittorrent support.

as it's a sourceforge project, I think there shouldn't be any jurisdiction issues regarding making it portable.
