Development Environments

I’ve been following the portable apps movement for a couple of years and it has been great – specially the open-source, OSI certification scene.

One can presently choose to assemble its preferred work environment, carefully tuned to his/her heart’s content, including a (fairly diverse) office, internet, multimedia and security implements galore, plenty of unproductivity apps (seems they are called "games") and all manner of tools to put Batman’s belt to shame. And then one can carry it around in a memory stick ... err, or maybe a full DVD...

bittorrent based "free portable apps market" browser

Make a program where you can browse list of portable apps you would like to use.

You can 'add a program' to your wallet if you don't want to commit to it by downloading only its bitorrent tracker.

If you really want to install it, you can run the tracker file from the 'market app', and download the program to your flash drive. (If it is a non-essental program it will be deleted automatically when rarely used, only keeping the tracker file to help preserve space)

Spiral Knights?

IF you guys are able to, could anyone make a portable app of Spiral Knights? It uses Java (This makes it unlikely...), published by Sega and made by Three Rings (Ones who made Puzzle Pirates). The game is free, but unsure if it's open-sourced or whatever. To find the installation file, create an account (free...) and press the Play Now button. Below the Java app, there should be something saying "If this causes technical difficulties, click here to install the game" or something like that.

Help

I am wondering, I have a legit copy of Office and would like to have my Onenote portable as I use it for so much. Since I have a legitimate copy and can prove it if needed, is there someone that could help make this for me as I have no clue how to do this for myself.

I know it can't be released on PortableApps.com because it is commercial software and I would never expect that to be done. This is just for my personal use.

hey portable apps. i made a new app with the game plants vs zombies and it does work.
all i need is help on doing the development test thing. I posted before on how to upload apps, and someone said "Most people here use MediaFire. After uploading it, make a post in the Beta Testing forum (be sure to follow the guidelines)."

I need to learn on how to do this..... help is appreciated.
