Request: CSpace

Submitted by betabrain on March 25, 2008 - 5:56am

CSpace ( http://cspace.in/ ) is a very simple, but decentralized and secure instant messaging system, which I would like to see as a portable app.

I know that this is the second request for a portable version, but the old and unofficial version isn't available anymore. Anyway it would be nice to have an official and therefore integrated version.

graphviz

graphviz is one great app that just cries for "portabalizing".

Graph visualization is a way of representing structural information as diagrams of abstract graphs and networks. Automatic graph drawing has many important applications in software engineering, database and web design, networking, and in visual interfaces for many other domains.

Graphviz is open source graph visualization software. It has several main graph layout programs. See the gallery for some sample layouts. It also has web and interactive graphical interfaces, and auxiliary tools, libraries, and language bindings.

VMware Player Portable

I been looking for VMware portable. I went to http://www.vmware.com/download/player/ and it says is Open Source. Is this true? Is it possible to make it portable with the source. I'm testing Moka5 right now and it comes with a portable version of VMware Player. I assume then that it is possible. I personally rather not use Moka5 for virtualization. I prefer making the virtual machines on VMware then runing them from an external HDD drive with a portable version of VMware Player. Thank you all for your time.

mortgage repayment calculation app

Submitted by jinga_mohawk on March 23, 2008 - 6:48pm

I have already written an app for this as I am a property developer with 50 properties. I also was a consultant C++ developer for 12 years so I wrote the app in an afternoon. I have 3 version of the app in Java, C++ & C#. I know nothing of the procedure for your development but I think a mortgage repayment app is useful. Whoever is reading this probably wants to buy a house at some point and would use the app. Try looking for this app on the internet and there are lots of free versions but these versions are polluted with add on expenses and custom bank charges.

Bootable Dos

A Bootable DOS app for a USB would be really nice. CD, NTFS, Floppy emulation, and possibly USB support would be awesome. I have had CD'd with a Bootable DOS that are used for installing 9x systems on a PC without a floppy drive, but these are kind of shaky and a USB would be much nicer.

Phantom CD

Phantom CD enables you to mount a CD or DVD image and access it from a virtual drive, without the need to insert the physical media. If you have plenty of hard drive space to store your disk images, this method can be more convenient and offer faster performance than running the actual CD or DVD. Phantom CD supports ISO and BIN/CUE image formats that can be created with any disk imaging software. You can load disk images from the main interface or, more conveniently, by simply right-clicking on the virtual drive icon that is added to Windows Explorer.
