Program: Grisbi
License: Open Source/GPL
Description: Personal Finance ( similar to MS Money or Moneydance )
Website: http://www.grisbi.org/

I have found that GNUCash is available, but this program is a lot smaller ( it will not compete with the functionality of GNUCash, but totally enough for keeping track of transatctions, bank accounts, etc... something like one-entry book-keeping)

Zenmap Portable Help/Request

Submitted by Rochey on January 13, 2008 - 4:48pm

I have just found that Nmap comes with a GUI called Zenmap.
I thought that this would make a great portable tool in my inventory so I tried to make it a portable app with the Portable app template 2.5.

The problem I have found is that zenmap.exe calls nmap.exe, which is ok because you can locate them in the same directory. But when you create the zenmap portable application launcher this calls zenmap.exe which is in the App directory, so zenmap can't find nmap.

Anybody have any ideas how to get round this? Or has anyone actually made a portable version of Zenmap?

Portable BASIC or Transcript

Does anyone know of a portable BASIC or Transcript. I'm starting programming, but my dad won't let me load a compiler onto the PC. I know of Portable Python, but I'm not ready to switch to a new language. I searched Google, Wikipedia, here, Yahoo, and practically everywhere.
P.S. I have a project due on the 31st.

Infra Recorder

Submitted by Travis Carrico on January 11, 2008 - 3:38am

I see that Infra Recorder was in beta for a portable app before but was stopped because of a bug. Well I guess they must have fixed it because they have a zipped portable version from their website now. I'm sure it would be easy to take that and package it as a portableapps.com app now. A good CD/DVD burner is all that's missing from the app lineup.

About "Remote Administrator V2.1" and Hi all.

Submitted by SinPiedad on January 10, 2008 - 1:45pm

Hi All.

Im from Spain and have just met on this web and there seem to me to be very interesting and extremely useful the applications that here they present.

A great and useful idea looks like to me the power to take your own programs to any place without having to install them in every computer in that you want to use them.

Ill be looking for all the innovations that are going out and though not much of the topic i wanted to do a contribution to them, i dont know if it will be in the concept of "portableapps".
