CS Command Line Tools

Submitted by cumesoftware on October 22, 2007 - 11:20am

I have a request for a new set of tools: CS Command Line Tools. This tools could be integrated in Command Prompt Portable or as a separate group of tools. This project consists on several DOS external command that add functionality to the DOS Prompt.
The project has a prepared batch file that makes possible to run CS Command Line Tools from anywhere without having to set the required environment variables. The batch file sets them temporarily, leaving no trace.

Request: Task Coach

Submitted by mjjohansen on October 22, 2007 - 8:30am

I have come to appreciate the program Task Coach, a task management and ToDo-program.
It is a very good program - not too complicated, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I am using it under Lunar Linux, but most of my work PCs are Windows boxes. And it would be brilliant to be able to carry it around.

App Request

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has a portable version of Cain&Abel.
I did a search, but could only find someone mentioning it.

Cain&Abel is a free network tool wich does work when installed on a USB, only winpcap needs to be installed on each PC you use it in.

Thanks

Wallpaper Swapper

Submitted by chobo2 on October 20, 2007 - 8:05pm

I am sure this might have been asked before(but search results returned nothing) but u3 has a cool program that swaps the computers wallpaper with yours and when you leave unswaps it.

I did a good search of wallpaper swapper and I found on this site something about it being in the new menu but I could not locate it in the menu 1.1 once I downloaded.

This is one of the only things keeping me to u3 and I would like to change.

TurboCASH(Financial Software)

Submitted by thedogpoundpalace on October 20, 2007 - 3:34am

I would like to see a portable version of a financial software for use at home(i.e. something like Quikbooks or Quicken, etc.). The only open source software like this I have been able to find is a program called TurboCASH. If anyone knows of a better open source program for this purpose, I would love to know, and to see THAT program as a portable app on this site. Anyhow, information for TurboCASH as follows:

Program: TurboCASH

License: Open Source/GPL

Description: Financial software like Quickbooks.

Firefox sync

Submitted by Howthore on October 19, 2007 - 6:59pm

I scrollled back so far without any luck, so.....
I've got FirefoxPortable on my thumb drive
I've also got Firefox on my desktop machines.

What I'd like is a plugin or portable app or something that would let me sync bookmarks between both versions.

I supposed I could do the same job by syncing everything to a gmail account %|. However, this would require additional call cycles for Firefox to querie gmail, wait for a reply, etc, nevermind the overall bottlenecking that would go with it.
