What it is?
The PortableApps.com Flash Archade is going to be a collection of 30-300 flash games that will be put together in PAF format and (hopefully) be made official so that everyone can enjoy they're favorite flash games online or offline, without all the annoyances of ads and popups.

What I need
In order to create this, I need some nominations for games. I need three peices of information:

1. Name of the game
2. Category
3. Website where the game can be found

The name of the game is just what it is, the name.

Super Mario War

Submitted by AgentOrange on December 6, 2010 - 3:33pm

I was wondering if anyone is currently working on Super Mario War?

It's a level based game created by fans around Nintendo's Super Mario. The game is under GPL2 license.

The only sad thing is development of the game has pretty much been halted since 2006. I managed to find a copy of it and have been trying to re-package it as a portable app. But since I have no idea whatsoever about what I'm doing, I'm pretty much failing at the launcher creation step in a rather miserable fashion...

Brain training game!

Submitted by magriff123 on November 29, 2010 - 9:01am

Hello,

I was just trying out a brain training game for the 1st time. And OMG I haven't done proper maths in years and it is very bad. I used to be so good. Well that's when I thought of you guys as I use this site regularly and like your apps.

It would be educational and fun with different levels for people to master.

Or is there something like it available already?

Kind regards

Bye M

R Project as a Portable App?

Submitted by reepicheep on November 28, 2010 - 9:58am

Subject says it all really.

Has anyone ported the R Project's R stats application into the Portable Apps framework. Normally my use of R is on Mac OS X but I have occasional need to process stats on a client's Windows machines but because of hot desking can't install a copy of R on a fixed machine. PortableApps would be the way to go.

I've looked through the archives but can't find any mention of R before. I see a Freemat port but although there is a little overlap between them my use of R packages means I can't switch.
