HAPedit

I was wondering if any one could put HAPedit 3.1 into the PortableApps format. It already runs on my thumb drive but it is annoying having to go into the folder to start it. This is a great web editor that uses PHP, HTML, XML, ASP. It has an intergrated FTP on it as well. I use this religiously.

LAN Instant Messenger?

Submitted by ioawnen on March 5, 2009 - 5:43pm

I could really do with a portable instant messenger that can work without an internet connection over a Local Network.

Any support would be great because using internet based IM's isnt possible on the network at school because of tight restrictions.

Running a program is not a problem, and i have a WLM portable that runs but the firewall blocks its acess.

How to make a Application Portable ?

Submitted by Paul F on March 5, 2009 - 2:19am

Hi, I'm after a portable NNTP news reader, ideally the one from Newsroverc.com

My question is this, since no one has replied to any link, my request now becomes how does one make an application portable?

Eg the tricks of the trade?

I'm sure their must be some way to butcher it, if other applications can get to work on a portable USB stick..

Thanks in advance!

Packet Tracer 5.1

This tool is an essential part of the planning process of network design and structure. it allows you to see each process of encapsulation the packets go through a built network. It would be so helpful to have a portable version of this to show people your designed network and operation without having to priorly install the software
here is a link to the software (free download for cisco netacad students);

Comodo BOClean

I use this on my PC and it appears to work well alongside Avast. I realise there may be better software that could work well with ClamWin. Before I open my browser or any other app it would be nice to scan the system I intend to use to see what is running on there, as I'm using my flash drive in library's and internet cafes etc.
