Request Apps

Open Office is a great suite, but it doesn't have that many programs, and it doesn't have image viewers, etc. Others like KOffice have Suites that combine many more apps.

I did not think at first that this would make a great portable app until my friends took an interest in it (who hate this sort of stuff) so i would now like to request a portable version

I think a portable metronome would do it!!

How about a password protection on the PortableApps.com Menu if the computer's idle for a period of time or when the screensaver activates? Especially if you walk away from your computer and don't want anyone to access it. Also how about themes or at least change the color of the menu?

I love portable apps but I miss the possibility to add non PortableApps software in the menu.
I just found another application launcher which is much more flexible:

There is alot of talk about the slowness of apps on a USB pen, Oviously some apps will be slow but I would like to see the posibility of an activity LED in the bottom tray that would let the user see if there is any activity on the USB pen. Not all Pens can be seen when inserted to the computer. Some computers have front USB ports while others do not. I have tried several apps that were not for the portable system but most of them needed external runtime modules like netframework or similar programs. I would like to see one that is stand alone.
