ZUNE program?

Submitted by Dyer13 on March 1, 2007 - 9:13pm

I want to be able to transfer files from school to home and vice versa, but to do that, the zune software must be running to access the zune. I want/need to have the zune software to run on the computers at school, since i cannot install the program due to lack of admin rights.

It really doesn't matter if it leaves registry info behind, because the IT dept at my school is ok with it, since I will be using it in a tech class. They just reformat each computer after every semester anyway.

Ogg Encoder?

I am trying to find a portable ogg encoder application. If it can encode MP3 that is great, but not necessary. Open Source is a must? Anyone?

POCKETBLINDS

PocketBlinds....: Possible Portable App. ?

PocketBlinds is the first free form skinning extension for Windows CE 3.x or later (PocketPC). PocketBlinds allows you to skin the title bar completely and add/position as many buttons as you can fit. Moreover, it is compatible with the WindowBlinds plug-in format allowing users to easily make their own title bar "gadgets" (MP3 players, stock tickers, memory meters, etc.). It's also free. http://www.stardock.com/products/pocketblinds/

Now, note thats for WinCE 3.x; but what if we got them to "expand" to our flashdrives?

Finale Notepad Music Notation

Submitted by vzett90 on February 26, 2007 - 1:26pm

There's this program from makemusic called "Finale Notepad" which is the free version of the famous notation program FINALE and it's a very small simple program...

I wonder if it would be possible to get that as an portable app
(Just for the case that you have an musical idea you want to write down very quick)

Here's the program:

As a musician this would be a great thing to have notation software portable...

Thanks for giving this opportunity here.

Quicktime basic portable

Submitted by peter0328 on February 25, 2007 - 2:29pm

I am trying to use iTunes from my flash drive on my school computers. Whenever it tries to load it always says you must update to the most recent version of Quicktime to use iTunes. Since I cannot install software on the school computers, I was wondering if anyone can create a version of Quicktime that will run off a flash drive. It doesn't have to be completely portable meaning it can leave behind registry entries and such.
