I am trying to use iTunes from my flash drive on my school computers. Whenever it tries to load it always says you must update to the most recent version of Quicktime to use iTunes. Since I cannot install software on the school computers, I was wondering if anyone can create a version of Quicktime that will run off a flash drive. It doesn't have to be completely portable meaning it can leave behind registry entries and such.
I think it could be great. To have a international system in a USB drive. Install just one font and a capable word processor. Japanese users could work on EVERY computer in Europe and we could read japanese pages in aur Firefox Portable. I'm very interested in japanese support as portable. Is it possible? Sorry for my bad English.
If anyone has the time, can you portablize this?
I'm aware it's not open source, so a launcher/compiler may be all I need. And there is very minimal registry settings so this could possibly be done in a jiffy!
Thanks again, guys and looking forward to someone working their magic on this.
BTW, download 5.0 since it's free and it's what I'm using for now.
Hi there! I have a U3 flash drive and I've installed the Mozilla and Firefox apps. They are supporte here in PortableApps. I was wondering if you guys will publish a Sunbird version for the U3 community... I tried Lighning but to me Sunbird is a better app...
Someone should make a portableapp that changes the computer's theme while the drive is in the computer (similar to U3's Wallpaper Swapper)
I think i would be great idea to have a linux distro on a portable drive. there are alredy people working on it and there is a distro called damn small linux.
Grabit (http://www.shemes.com) is a freeware newsreader aimed at binary downloads. However it appears to store its settings (including NNTP username and password) in the registry. It uses INNO setup but can be extracted and run as a no-install executable - would someone have the inclination to configure a registry wrapper for this? Thanks.
