FreeNX Client

Submitted by CraZy675 on January 11, 2006 - 3:47pm

I do a lot of work from school computer labs where I don't have an administrative account. I would find it really handy to connect to my home PC using FreeNX.

Here is a link to the client website:

If your development section were complete I could probably create it myself and submit it to you community.

Thanks for OOo its fantastic.

Hi there,
just to let you know there is a couple of applications already portable that may be interesting for you. I've used them on my portable hard drive in the past year and found them really useful, so there you go:

IE Privacy Keeper (takealong version) privacy tool (clean up browsers and system leftovers)

SCR (search and replace, standalone executable, I use it for quick and massive code replacement in my site html files)

I don't have the link for the following ones, but I suppose you can just look for the standalone executable files in Google:

Miranda

Miranda Instant Messenger is a good alternative for those who want multiple instant messaging protocols, but still want to stay small in size. Miranda is around 2.5MB, which is much smaller than Gaim. It does all the major protocols (AIM/ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, etc. It is extensible via plugins. You can download a .zip of the program that is already portable.

Is it possible to have a portable DVD player that will run completely off USB flash drive? If so, anyone know of a solution thats already out there or being worked on?

Moving PowerDVD over to the drive didn't work out. Sad
