Portable App Development

I am sure I am brain cramping with a syntax error but can not seem to copy from APPDATA to portable data file,

i made an portable app for the game Metal Gear Solid it is the trial not the full game.
it is compressed with a converted batch file that manages the program and it has some music with it it was 83 mb now it is 9 mb

My Problem Is That I Cant Change The Registry From Certain Computers.
Now Being A Fan Of Portable Apps I Thought That Maybe Portable Apps
May Offer Me A Solution.

I wanted to make Peerblock work with my portable apps platform and I thought I would look into making it myself. Peerblock already has a portable version (but it can't go into the platform) and doesn't appear to be written in Java or .NET so I thought this would at least be a little easier.

Is there documentation that lists all of the language variables for the PortableApps platform? The best I was able to find was Chris Morgan post in Language Environment Variables, but doesn't have all of the languages and it is more than a year old, so I wasn't sure if something had changed.

I'm working on Zekr Portable, and it requires the languages to be specified in a format similar to en_US, de_DE, fr_FR, etc. I don't now if that is readily available from the platform, or if I will have to parse it myself for the available languages.

As discussed yesterday in irc, the new PA.cInstaller 2.0 still has a problem for online installing to a path containing foreign characters.

One way to solve it was to run 7z.exe from $PLUGINSDIR, but this could potentially still give a problem if %USERPROFILE% contains foreign characters as well.

After some more investigation I found out that 7z.exe v9.14 beta also solves the problem. And, because this is not an issue for 99% of the users, probably it is better to wait for v9.14 to become stable and use that, before to change the installer script !

I need some help! I'm trying make a USB drive auto run a website link in Windows 7. I know this option has been removed in W7. But I want to at least have a pop up window that automatically appears when the USB is inserted and have the user the option to click on the stored URL without having to alter any setting on their PC. Is this at all possible?

I am almost finished with my BumpTop Portable edition, and just need to deal with the registry settings.

Here's what I got from regfromapp portable:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

This should be in a .reg file, am I correct?
Also, where would I put this file and how would I direct the launcher to this registry file?

I've finally got my launcher working for bumptop portable, but I face a problem. I need the appdata from "%USERPROFILE%\Appdata\Roaming\Bump Technologies Inc.\" to be run from "BumptopPortable\Data\appdata", however I don't know how to change the environmental settings in the executable.

If I am doing the wrong thing, could anyone point me in the right direction? Is there any *.ini files I need to make?
