Discuss portable app development and modification of existing apps.
Hi

I have no clue were to post this, so admins do what you want with this post.
Problem: I know how to get simple games like miniRA and age of empires and that kinda stuff, but how do i put it on the apps thing so that there is a pretty little picture. I want to open the menu thingy and be able to click on age of empires under textpad. Is there any way to put it in the apps menu section????
I already read the Guerrilla Field Guide thingy....but I'm hopeless. I can't communicate with that sort of stuff...but i really want 2 make my very own PA. I'm a VB6 grade 10 student...that's my only exposure to programming (along with some stone-aged pascal). I know the apps you need before u make a portable app.....but what the hell do you do?

Hi guys!
I just finished translating the new VMG into PL and DE
and the new 3.3.2 version is released some days ago!
http://magnifier.sourceforge.net/
The dynamic mode should work now but it still has bugs.
f.e. you can't move the magnifying glass with hotkeys (Crlt+Alt+Arrow) in
the dynamic mode and the hotkeys don't work for me - please check this feature!
Please update VMG portable to the new version soon!
Thanks.

Everyone knows our suites contain multiple applications that can be a pain in the rear to constantly keep updating and people wine when it's not done. Now I know a few people have gotten around the whole not being aloud to distribute apps in there launchers so they have the launchers download the app automatically and put it in the right place. My thought is why not save some time and effort and instead of bundling things in the suite why not just download something like that? Just download a launcher and you can check checkbox typa-things to select what apps you want.
Hi, I was wondering if someone can tell me where is the location of the icon file that the PortableApps Menu uses for the applications?
I'm asking is because I'm currently using PAM Mod with a dark theme and even with the transparency there's a halo of white around my app icons, i was wondering if I can locate the icon files and see if i can clean up the halo. Thanks
Is GnuCash 2.2.8 Portable in development ?
Can I help? Where can I find the instructions how to do that?
You can generally use this batch file to portabalize alot of things. Just change the variables to your needs (the set blah=blah lines)

@echo off
if NOT "%1" == "/Added" (
start /MIN "ShellWM Loader" %0 /Added
goto end
) else (
echo Loading...
)
:: Change these to your app's
:: applicationname is the name of the app
:: (no spaces please)
:: application is the file to run, "" if it has spaces
:: regkey1 is the branch created by the application
:: (Usually HKCU\Software\%applicationname%).
