Portable App Development

I have Johns portable scite and I have tried adding the AutoIT au3.properties and api\au3.api to various settings folders in the structure but it doesn't seem to work? Anyone know where in the folder structure it should go and if it works.

Is it possible to be changed Pam so, that u can use PNG´s as a PAM background picture? then could one transparency produce. or could incorporate one that in the next version.

Hi, I have a lot of work for the moment, so I won't be working on that project till the end of june, so don't expect quick results.

I'm going to create a CD/DVD + USB key duo system for portable apps.
The principle is simple :
- You have program executable & program data on the CD/DVD-Rom.
- You have your documents & config on the key.
- You insert/plug your cd/key in whatever order you wish

Could anyone guide me on how to create a self extracting EXE from a folder, that will extract and run the exe/files from a windows temp folder?

I'm aware of how to do it in winrar, but not sure of the specific directory that should be used for temp storage (for use on PC's without admin privileges)

So basically i want one big compressed self extracting exe that extracts its contents to a temp folder, and autoruns a specified file.

Hi, for a future Portable App, I've decided I'd give a go at LilyPond. LilyPond is a Musical Notation program that is completely text based. You type in your song or score, or whatever it may be, in a text editor, or in LilyPad, a text editor bundled with LilyPond specifically for writing music in it. You save the file as whatever.ly and then either double click it, or drop it in the shortcut to "lilypond-windows.exe" and it will turn your text music into a PDF, and a Midi file if that is written in your score.

Documents/music/video and pictures links were from the device root and not relative paths - Could be compiled from source? I do not know how to do that.

PAs that use CommonFiles could have their paths edited (..\..\..\CommonFiles)(Can they?) At the moment I just have duplicates of Common Files ...
