Bugs in new Eraser Portable launcher

Submitted by wraithdu on July 16, 2007 - 10:21pm

There isn't an EraserPortable forum yet, so this'll have to go here. There are a couple pretty serious bugs in the newly released Eraser launcher. Copy and paste from my other post -

-------------
Lines 227 and 239 in the cleanup section have the MoveKey values reversed. Please fix because line 227 is the main HKCU\Heidi key so all user settings are not restored after exiting the portable version.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful of course. The last few weeks you've been doing some amazing work. So many useful releases. I can't thank you enough!!

Is there anybody working on a PortableApps equivalent to yum/apt-get/etc. ?

I get my RSS feed that tells me new versions of my chosen apps are available, but I then have to manually grab the file and install it. Sometimes I read the feed, but forget to update an application.

I am wondering if anybody has thought about creating something similar to any of the existing package management systems out there.

PortableApps Suite Standard update planned?

Submitted by ReneL on July 14, 2007 - 5:11am

Hello John,

First of all thank you for all your hard work to support Open-Source software during the last years!

Now that we have all the current versions of the most important programs (OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird, VLC media player, KeePass, GIMP [nearly up to date], Notepad++, Sumatra PDF) and the portable Java support, it would be great to see a new PortableApps Suite Standard release, the people out there would love it Wink

Add all the nice games and the last PortableApps Menu and the users will soon get addicted.

difficulties shutting down portableapps

Submitted by ethany on July 13, 2007 - 10:53pm

Hi,

I can't "safely remove" my usb flashdisk until i shut down portableapps, and i can only do it via task manager.

I'm sure there are more elegant ways to go abt doing it, right clicking it's icon on the system tray does not reveal any options to shut it down. i noticed a X button on the application GUI itself could it be the button to shut it down? i tried clicking the button but nothing happens...

reinstalled the protableapps but still can't solve this problem...
