Firefox Portable

Im trying to download the nightly portable at: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/test
and it just leads me to: http://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/

I know youre undergoing some site stuff but those are sourceforge links so they should work, correct?

somehow I cannot install new addons
the addons download, but don't install, without any displayed error
I have hundreds of them, is there a limit?
or what else could prohibit this?

I need to use Firefox with Java 7.
But I can only put the version 8 of Java working with Firefox.

Does anyone can give me a matrix compatibility or something to get this working?

I only use Firefox Portable occasionally (usually use Chrome), but I had occasion to try to start it for the first time in a while on my work computer. I got a dialog box that stated that I was not permitted to run the application with elevated privileges (first time I've seen this). Why does it want to run with elevated privileges in the first place? Is this a configuration issue, and how would I go about investigating and fixing it if so?

Ffox portable v35 and v36. I keep getting error messages about the Shockwave Plugin. These instructions don't work

I don't get a prompt when I install Shockwave so I can't select which browser to install into. And I can't find a plugins directory.

Any suggestions, apart from using a different browser?

The operating system for my desktop is XP. My browser is Firefox Portable Edition with Google as the search engine. Recently I got a popup in the middle of the screen ask me if I wanted to download Security and Stability updates for Firefox 35.0.1. I do not know the relationship between Firefox 35.0.1 and Firefox Portable Edition. Should I install the updates for Firefox 35.0.1 on my Firefox Portable Edition from the popup?
If not, how do I prevent this popup from appearing over and over again ?

I´ve read hundred of Posts about setting FFP as DefaultBrowser,
or using "Special" ProfileManagers for FFP... but I can´t find
a solution for this problem:

When I open a URL from my eMail by clicking a link, I managed
to set FFP as default Browser, so this is fine... but...:

When I have FFP already opened, I get a new Tab, which is fine.
But, when I do not have an instance of FFP running and click the
URL Link, FFP is started, but with the profile from the host pc
located at the default folder C:\Users\Yves\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Is it possible to open new tab with specified URL using pure command line? I tried:
FirefoxPortable.exe -new-tab "http://address"
It works when FFP is closed, but when it's already opened with other tabs I get this error:

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

Is there any way around that?

My setup:
- FF 28 as default browser
- FFP 35 as secondary browser
using -no-remote on FFP to run both together
