Firefox Portable

Sometimes people will post that a new release of FF is ready when it
really isn't. This time FF portable 19.0.1 is available and mozilla.com
still shows 19.0 as latest.

Odd.

I set RunLocally=true option. And when open firefox it display profile like first time when I open firefox app.

All suggestion options display next time also. Please help to resolve this issue if anyone the solution.

I am an advanced user (IT pro). My question is simple : I have just downloaded FirefoxPortable v19. I do not want it to access other places than its installation folder in any way. Using Windows 8 Pro x64.

How can I reach this goal ? Thank you for your help and have a nice W.E.

The underlying issue : I also run Waterfox portable v16 and I've encountered incidents when using both alternatively as if they share some files that they should not.

First let me thank you for your work. PortableApps is a must in Windows world.

I have a small problem.
I have Portable Firefox 19 with few extensions and some customizations on it.

If FF is already open and try to open an external url from Yahoo!Messenger then is opening in the correct FF. My FF with extensions and customizations.

If FF is not open and try to open the same external url (is not important if is from Y!M or Thunderbird or other app) then is opening in a new FF.
A brand new FF with no extensions, customizations or bookmarks.

Since updating FirefoxPortable to 19.0 on my D: drive Win 7 32 bit PC it won't start but shows an XULRunner dialog box with message:
Error: Platform version '18.0.2 is not compatible with
minVersion >= 19.0
maxVersion

Firefox 19 will run for a few seconds or minutes then win 8 will report Firefox has stopped working.

A Known problem over at Mozilla forums, the workaround is to downgrade to 18.0.2. and wait for 19.1 (checking that the AMD bug is sorted).

Can you make 18.0.2 portable available once more?

Open Firefox & go to Tools/Options. As soon as you hit the Advanced tab, the empty folders "firefox\updates\0" are created in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox" & then not removed on exit.

For a project, we're running Firefox Portable v19.0 off a USB thumb drive with a few plugins to kiosk-ify the end user experience. All the pages the user needs are also included on the USB so we've hidden the address bar, status bar and requests for updates in about:config. The one last spot of major trouble we're having is with the main page which follows the intro splash page.

About three weeks ago, right before leaving on travel, I copied my key files (including places.sqlite) from my regular desktop computer's Firefox profile to Firefox Portable. Since then, saving bookmarks, passwords, etc. works fine, but I just now noticed that history is not being saved. If I go to All History, it lists January and months prior to that, but nothing in February (let alone things like Today, Last Week, etc.).

It makes everything by itself.
I always set the option "never check for updates", but FF doesn't want to rispect the condition.
I've lost some addons with important setting for this. Can somebody tell me how to stop it?
