[Fixed] Newer versions of Firefox Portable and Thunderbird don't correctly support taskbar pinning

It looks like the way Firefox handles its AppID changed recently which broke taskbar pinning with the PA.c Platform. I've put together an updated Firefox Portable launcher that will properly allow existing and new pins to work again. It's a zip file with an updated launcher and the necessary code.

userChrome.css instructions only partically executed

In order to make the menus wider I tried to setup a suitable userChrome.css file.

According to some suggestions I put an empty userChrome.css file into (new) folder

<PortableAppsFirefoxfolder>/Data/profile/chrome/

and put the following statments in there

.bookmark-item[container] .menu-iconic-text {
max-width: 600px !important;
width: 600px !important;
}
* { background-color: orange !important; }

Firefox version 78 problem

Submitted by Niloc81 on November 2, 2020 - 7:34am

Hi all - being fairly new to this Forum, I'm hoping you more experienced users will be able to help & advise me.

I had Firefox Portable ver 78 working just fine, on my 64 bit PC. When I run the Firefox78.exe from the installed folder it opens in 64 bit perfectly. But if I click on a link in an email (after checking it's safe!) or in a file of saved website links, Firefox opens in 32 bit minus all my add-ons. I don't want to run 32 bit, only the 64 bit version, but how can I force Firefox to always open in 64 when I click on hyperlinks?
