Firefox Portable

I just installed FFP 2.0.0.14 and 2.0.0.15 onto my USB stick. Flash functions perfectly from those installations, even though I did not download the Flash player plugin.

I am guessing this has something to do with the remote Flash installation. Is there some way I can: 1) prevent Firefox from using the local Flash and 2) ensure that I will be able to use Flash on other computers that do not have it locally installed.

I noticed that some parts of the firefox support page are out of date with FF3, such as:
Mailto Note: Mailto links are not controlled by Firefox's mimetypes setup, so this has no effect on being able to click on an email link and launching Thunderbird. Firefox simply passes mailto links to Windows and has it open the default mail client.
Which is now not true.

I just ran portable firefox for the first time on my USB and selected the store session. It has made the processing a little bit slow as my USB stick is not high performance. How can I turn this off again? Is there an INI setting somewhere?

I found that The latest version of google toolbar is not portable.

I have install google toolbar in IE6 and also in portable firefox.
I added 2 buttons in firefox and they got added in the IE also.

Firefox has become very slow. I have made fresh install.
Also I have disabled session store, cache and anti-phishing. Atill firefox is freezing momentarily even while changing tab.

I have switched from Opera to firefox only because Opera9.51 was slow. But it is same here also.
Opera used to consume 30 to 40 MB memory but firefox is consuming more than 100MB of RAM.

Could you please tell me how to set firefox3 portable as default browser under vista?
I were able to set under xp with ffp2 previously with DefaultMyFFP http://cubegames.net/downloads/dmffp.php

I have portable and want to use it at school or a local library but it cannot pick up the proxy. How do I change the settings so that it will automatically select the proxy? Please provide full instructions. Thanks

I have installed Firefox version 3 on one of my Sandisk USB drives. The problem
is that I installed the PortableApps version on the drive, but it doesn't show
up in the U3 software menu. Does anyone know how to create a shortcut so that the
browser will start through the U3 software, without starting the browser directly
off the drive.
