Is this a limitation of the portable version of Firefox?
Using FF2, Win XP Pro SP2
Hi!
I use Firefox Portable and Mozilla Weave to sync the data with my home Firefox.
So, all work ok but in portable Fox I see that Weave don't sync on close, I don't see pop up windows...
I think the problem is Firefox portable but I don't know where.
Any idea?
Thank you
Ciao!
So this is a problem I've been having since PFF3 came out: I will install addons that I used in PFF2 (AdBlock, Remember The Milk) and some FF3 specific ones (Weave, Personas, PicLens) and for a day all would be well in the PFF3/Addon world. The problems come the next day. Without making any changes on my USB drive ALL addons are no longer working. They are listed but they are not functioning. Any ideas?
When I plugged in my flash and attempted to open the browser, nothing happens. The logo would just load, but the actual browser enver opens. The program tried updating itself earlier, but I had to eject the drive before it finished. I don't know if that had any effect on it or not.
I tried ejecting the drive, and starting up my firefox portable again, but no avail. Rebooting the computer didn't help either. Can anyone please help?
Everytime I start firefox, I don't just start with a homepage, I have to open 4 more tabs for other pages that I'm on every time I get online. I was wondering if it was possible to set up ff so that every time I log in, it could automatically open other tabs to the various pages. I know that you can preserve your session when you close, but my sessions tend to end on sites different from where they began, so that wouldn't work so well. Any ideas? Thanks.
I just installed FFP 2.0.0.14 and 2.0.0.15 onto my USB stick. Flash functions perfectly from those installations, even though I did not download the Flash player plugin.
I am guessing this has something to do with the remote Flash installation. Is there some way I can: 1) prevent Firefox from using the local Flash and 2) ensure that I will be able to use Flash on other computers that do not have it locally installed.
I noticed that some parts of the firefox support page are out of date with FF3, such as:
Mailto Note: Mailto links are not controlled by Firefox's mimetypes setup, so this has no effect on being able to click on an email link and launching Thunderbird. Firefox simply passes mailto links to Windows and has it open the default mail client.
Which is now not true.
Hi
I just ran portable firefox for the first time on my USB and selected the store session. It has made the processing a little bit slow as my USB stick is not high performance. How can I turn this off again? Is there an INI setting somewhere?
Thanks
