I want to export the emails i have in portable thunderbird. How do I do this?
I have seen others post about this problem but have not seen a solution.
Often when TB goes to check mail the p/w entry box is shown and although, often, has a p/w in it with the remember check box unchecked.
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks
Chris
I'm trying to make a smooth system that'll allow me to run PTB from different PCs and a memory stick, so that I get the same profile from any location. Is there an idiots guide to using an internet location for the profile?
Hi,
the usual question, how to password protect certain files, folders or programmes.
There is a possibility to password protect the message pane with IMAP accounts in Thunderbird, but anybody, who finds my USB stick will nevertheless be able to see all server settings (except for the passwords) and all pop3 account stored emails.
Is there a possibility or some idea how to restrict the whole access to thunderbird? I also tried to encrypt the .exe file itself, but it didn't work when I wanted to use it and decrypted it, it was probably another location it got decrypted to.

Received HTML Email looks fine. The reply/forward document looks like a document brought up in web page design software and really is hard to edit the document; somethings being impossible to change without ruining the whole document.
Same problem occurs when copying/pasting an Emailinto Word.
To satisfy my needs I must save any photos, copy text into notepad striping HTML, then recreate a new document in Thunderbird.
Is there a work-around for this difficulty?

Hi All,
About two months ago I discovered Portable Apps and now run 75% of the s/w I use from my USB mem. I don't know how I got by before.
At this moment I am finding out. I have to monitor many email accounts so Thunderbird Portable was ideal set up in imap mode. Today I have no idea why I get the error message "Could not connect to mail server, ........... the connection was refused.". I have no idea what to do.
Running
Windows XP SP 2.
Thunderbird Ver. 2.0.0.16
The U3 application was working fine for months, then all of a sudden every time I try to start Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 from ScanDisk I get windows Error Report notification window and thunderbird shuts down. I take the ScanDisk to another computer and it works fine. Tells me that one computer is ok and the other one has a problem. Anyone might know what that problem is and how to fix it?
A Real puzzler...
Chuck
I installed T'Bird portable on my ubs flash stick. Made a copy of my profile and put in Data profile. When I start TB nothing shows in mail accounts, messages or files. Its as if I just start a new program (asking for setup of mail accounts etc).
What am I doing wrong.
Thanks for any help.
Well, thats the problem: I had previously a local TB and FF install & after I removed it & installed Portableapps, the continued appearing at the add programs list but with the path of the portable ones. ¿how might this be solved?
After updating on version 2.0.0.16 i have no mail accounts visible. If i click on "Extras" "Konten" i can see all my settings.
