That version and this one both leave behind an empty directory at %APPDATA%\SPlayer

Have you tried SMPlayer Portable or VLC Media Player Portable? Both are PortableApps.com releases:

VLC i use many years and the

VLC i use many years and the other two have i testing but Splayer i defintive my favorite player.

Very nice Style and the functions are also great, after i find Splayer in the same week i delete my VLC player Laughing out loud

Splayer is in most things samly how VLC, but splayer have better look, movie brain funktion(you can close and then open and splayer know the last stoped point), another great funktion is "Make louder 1 000%" and have also a massINone thumbnail maker samly "image Graber II"

SPlayer is in fact a fork of media player classic with major modifications even though not mentioned on the SPlayer website (at least when I last checked) it did not mention that at all but after looking at the code, a lot of it is from media player classic and the developers of media player classic have mentioned that splayer does use media player classics code.
