Localization Discussion

I see topics of people willing to translate the website:
- Spanish: https://portableapps.com/node/24192
- Russian: https://portableapps.com/node/25552
But these topics are ... unanswered.

So I ask: Is it planned? Or are we encouraged to do so on external website? Or, nothing of all this?

I did some corrections and updates to Polish locale file for PA.c+Updater 2.0 beta 5.

Bugs: "Manage Apps" menu entry is always in English; the bar showing disk free space does not use "DRIVE_SPACE" label, showing available space in English.

Hi.

I'm a user from Catalonia, Spain.
And I want that the programs being translate to catalan, my native language.

I'm really good into my language, and i know some technical configurations about programes, but so less, i'm sorry xD.

Ok, I though that if i could do something to help us and translate these protableapps programs into catalan or spanish, (or both).

Please, answer me as soon as and give to me some solution if you want some help.

Some translations in the dutch localization are not translated yet. I am talking about 2 things: Manage Apps (which need to changed to "Beheer programma's") and Check for updates ("Controleer op updates")

Can this be changed!!

I would like to join in the Portableapps.com project by translating the PA platform installer into Armenian.
Please send me the instruction by email.

So the time has come again when I am looking for updates to the Toucan translations. The thread here details how to update an existing translation or create a new one. The pre-release which includes the latest translations can be found here.

First a few general suggestions and questions:

• Make one of the many active members in here your translation coordinator (no, not me!) to take the load off you devs and make it easier for everyone - this area is in need of someone who can dedicate a little more time to write proper guidelines etc.
• Make a "lang" tracker on SF where we (the translators) or a coordinator simply can post translation files - then all you'll need to do is grab the files and commit 'em to HG.
