Hello John;
I am using a app called "PortableFonts". I asked the developer if he had spoken to you about adding it to PAM. The idea or thought would be to load any fonts at the start up of PAM automatically. Then on shut down removing them.
He said I should ask you. So I am. You could add an option box that could be checked off if you want to add the fonts silently at start up.
I ask this because it is a great app that answers a question posed by many in this forum, How do I add fonts. Being added to PAM and done silently if wanted would in my opinion be worth looking into.

There are other links, but they are dead (404). Maybe this will head you in the right direction.
https://portableapps.com/node/8810 - This link and apps works (might be what you want). I use it and like it.
I use one now. My idea was to have it merged into PAM. Then load the fonts automatically when Pam starts up and remove them at exit. There could be an option check off it you want to have it do this.
Just a thought.

The problem is that both are extremely kludgey/messy. You can either copy the files into the Windows fonts directory which will fail on normal (limited and guest) accounts. Or you can load a copy of the Windows font viewer viewing the font and keep it running in the background for each and every font which is huge waste of system resources.

I'd thought it was under the same admin limitation, but it appears that it is not. This would be an easy add to the platform.

Lets add it then? When you have time of course...

Hello John;
Thank you for considering the idea. I am not trying to take any thing away from his fine app. I am using it and like it. I can now set up my apps using fonts I like. Even if they are not on the PC I may be using. I thought doing this automatically if possible in PAM would be a nice feature for a future release.
