Firefox Portable

I used Firefox Portable (from PortableApps) a long time without problems.
I setup automatic updates.

So my FF updated automatically from v99 to v100.

When I started this new version an error popup appears;

Error: Platform version '100.0' is not compatible with
minVersion >= 99.0.1
maxVersion <= 99.0.1

and rejects to proceed with start.

This is a bug.
I guess its because FF does not understand a 3-digit version number

Ok, I expect that Firefox PortableApps will be fixed.

in earlier versions of Windows 10 its easy to make Firefox Portable edition as default browser and now the option is not there to make FirefoxPortable edition as default browser

Error page.

I want to run FirefoxPortable and FirefoxDevPortable at the same time but when I try to start the second browser it says Firefox is already running.
Is it in any why possible to run both at the same time?

It is possible to run FirefoxDevPortable and then start an normally installed Firefox instance. So it is possible to run 2 Firefox at the same time, but I want to run 2 Portable version of Firefox.

By default Firefox portable does not saves browsing cache and websites opening is slow.
How i can enable browsing cache?

Matterport used to open and work well, I just had to allow access, but suddenly it no longer opens showing a black screen. Still works in Chrome, but not in Pale Moon. I don't remember modifying anything, did a system restore and started in safe mode - same thing. The only thing that may have changed was Chrome downloaded something - a new version? - without my knowledge. However, the system restore did not reverse whatever they may have done. I'd hate to sssswitch to Chrome every time I need to open a VR link...

The Portable Firefox 100b2 still shows b1 (by the green Download button) and links to b1, creating a 404.
Both must be corrected to show/link to b2 instead.

John, today's download update is showing FF 98.0.3 instead of 99.0. Is this a typo? Thanks for all you do.

I remember asking a similar question before. i set Firefox Portable update settings to manual, but when launch FFP on a different PC, the update settings change to automatic (Even if the path to the profile directory is same).

Are Firefox update settings stored in the FFP directory?

I briefly updated to the lastest version v99 or so (but made a snapshot first, and then restored after the problem described below). I'm back to running v 90.0.2 and everything is fine, I think I had to fix this once before but can't recall.

Anyway, the issue is the huge amount of spacing in the menus for the bookmark folders.

I read somewhere you can change something in file C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXX.default-release\chrome\userChrome.css and copy the below lines at the top.
