Firefox Portable

Hello

My name is Dieter and I admires this project incredibly.
I have put some apps on my usb, but when I want start, I get a flits of Command Prompt to see.
Afterwards there does nothing happen more.
What is the problem?

After using Portable Firefox for several weeks, I decided to install the full standard version of Firefox into my harddisk. The question is: how do I migrate all my bookmarks from portable to main harddisk?

I am using Firefox Portable 1.5.06 on a Windows 2000 SP4 box. Everything works fine but Open File, Save Page As, Save Image As doesn't work.

When I select the command from the pull-down menues, or use the hot keys, the cursor changes to an hourglass until the mouse moves, then it changes back to an arrow. There is never any dialog box to open or save the file. This is true of any web page. I must resort to opening these pages in Internet Explorer (I'd rather not).

These Firefox Portable commands work fine on my Wondows XP SP2 box.

Any Ideas?

If I have Firefox sans profile on my hard drive, and the whole thing on my USB drive, and use the HD Fx to use the USB profile, would I see an improvement in performance?

And I know I'd have to modify the launcher to accept absolute file paths.

I have a strange problem. I have knocked together a FFP archive what I always first download in Internet Cafes from my homepage. I have made minor changes in options, installed 6 extensions, deleted DOM inspector, added some search engines, deleted some, and so on.
From the release date of 1.5.0.6 on it went always good, but since yesterday I see only the splash screen and nothing more. If I try to start FFP again, it says, there is already an instance running, so it stucked. The strange thing is, that ist does not work on ANY computer now (testet it on at least 5). I have not made any changes in the archive, so the big question is, what can it be or how can I find the bug?

Shortly I tested some different stock watch program.
All of them open reports as html-files.

With my favorit computer / portable-FF on HD I got some problems

If the portable FF is running I always have a error message
"Another instance of firefox is allready running..."

If I dont have a running FF the local instance will start.

And if the local FF is running the reports opens in new TABs

Cause my protable FF is running all the time I have to find a solution for this problem.

I have installed portable Firefox on a U3 drive and copied myprofile from my hard drive as directed. The files appear in the folder but the settings do not apply with restart. Any help?

Hello my question is.. when I open the FirefoxPortable.exe it loads all my profile but when I open a link outside FFP it opens the Firefox.exe that is localized in App/firefox loading the folder with my profile in C:\Documents and settings\...... not Data\profile

I put in FF-P as default browser but it's not working well

Portable Firefox 1.5.0.4 displays a quickquote frame for schwab.com. So does 1.5.0.6 regular Firefox. Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6 does not show this frame. Why? What do I need to change? No extensions run on any of these. No changes from the default set-up, except to not close tab bar with only site open.
