Iron Portable 16.0.950.0 Rev 2 (web browser) Released

logoIron Portable 16.0.950.0 Rev 2 has been released. SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release adds support for the new-style Java plugin. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Iron is packaged for portable use with permission from SRWare.

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 3.6.27 Legacy (web browser) Released

Firefox logoMozilla Firefox®, Portable Edition 3.6.27 (Legacy Edition) has been released. It's the current Mozilla Firefox browser from the older 3.6 release bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app, so you can take your browser, bookmarks, settings and extensions on the go. It's primarily intended for web page testers as all users are highly encouraged to upgrade to the current Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 10 release. This release will install alongside a current Firefox Portable install in a FirefoxPortableLegacy36 directory by default, though it can also be used to upgrade an existing installation. This release also adds support for the new-style Java plugin. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And, as always, it's open source and completely free.
