At the moment the strings of Tile World Portable are in English only. I discussed with Patrick Patience if translations are possible. He asked me to post the strings here.
You have two possibilities to translate: First you can just translate the strings below and post your translation as a followup in this thread.
Second you can
- download the game editor Chip's Workshop and install it on your hard disk.
- Copy the file "intro.dat" from PortableApps\TileWorldPortable\App\TileWorld\data to your hard disk.
- Start chipw.exe and open intro.dat. Select the first level and click the "..." button to open the properties.
- Translate title and hint to your language.
- Continue with the next level ...
- Don't forget to save the changes.
The advantage of the second way is you can see the whole level. It's easier to decide what translation to choose when you can see what is meant After you saved the file and copied it to the above mentioned data directory of Tile World Portable you can test at once if you did it right
Here are the strings:
Language: English 1. KEYS AND CHIPS Collect keys in order to open doors. Collect chips in order to open the socket. 2. WATCH YOUR STEP Ice makes Chip slide. Force floors push Chip around. Water and fire are fatal to Chip. Bombs destroy anything they touch. 3. FRIENDS AND ENEMIES Avoid creatures. Blocks pushed into water create dirt. 4. FOOTGEAR Use fire boots to cross fire, water boots to cross water, skates to cross ice, and suction boots to cross force floors. 5. ALL WALLS Walls can be invisible. Blue walls are not always real. Objects can be hidden under blocks. 6. TELEPORTS AND THIEVES Teleports can work differently, depending on direction. The thief tile steals Chip's special footgear. 7. DIRT AND GRAVEL Creatures are forbidden from entering dirt and gravel. Look out for new walls popping up from underneath. 8. BUTTON, BUTTON Blue buttons turn tanks. Green buttons toggle walls. A red button activates a clone machine. A brown button opens a trap. 9. THE END Congratulations! You have reached the end of the introductory course. You are now ready to go out and find some real levels!
