Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

I was trying to read up on WinMerge, so I went to the site. When I went to read the documentation (under Manual on their homepage), Avast! HE gave me a virus warning. I don't know if anybody else has encountered this, but I'm just putting it out there for somebody else to check out, if possible. Suffice it to say, I'm not using WinMerge until it's handled.

have downloaded and installed Tor Portable 0.2.0.30-0.1.8-0 Development Test 1 but when I try to run it I get this error:

Privoxy(00000a44) Fatal error: init_error_log(): can't open logfile: '.data\privoxy\Privoxy.log'

I tried downloading a previous version (0.1.2.19/0.0.16-2) from sourceforge but the instructions no longer seem tie up with the later version...

There must be some settings that need to be configured in the later version perhaps??? Does anyone have any idea how to set this up properly?

Hello, I use several portable apps, they all work except Infrarecorder, which I am using 0.44.1 Rev 3, (Older Version), it works on my WinXp, but on my Win98 It starts the splash it then disappears and that's it, I went into the folder and tried to run both the Irexpress and the Infrarecorder they do the same thing.
Any suggestions ?.

I have one problem.

It seems that it can't even play any file (that i know works) if the filenames are in chinese characters example (哦指导- 大mouth.[whatever filetype] To play them i have to rename it again. Which is a tad too much of a hassle for me.

Any suggestions on this?

Yesterday I converted my portable hard drive from FAT32 to NTFS. All seemed to go well without any issues at all. I was able to use my various applications without any issues at all. Surfed the net, did some Toucan jobs, etc. No issues. However when I ejected my drive using the eject button on the menu (Mod 34 patch for 1.5 PAP ) there was an issue as TaskCoach was hidden is the systray but I didn't know till it popped up with an error then closed.

I installed it to play music on my flash drive, but, Coolplayer doesn't natively support WMA, and VLC crashes when I try to edit a playlist. Basically, I'm just trying to get it to install the plugin properly, and play my music.

Well I need a photo program that can add frames or borders to my images (doesn't have to be portable just reasonable size) and another program or the same program to make text art like graffiti. Sorry if this has nothing to do with apps being portable.

  Yeah, I really love automatic language switching and the many many bugs (mostly comparing apples and oranges)
• If you use the Notepad++Portable.ini, Notepad++Portable won't run on Win 95,98,Me. IMHO, drop ansi-support completely or not. Actually, users who disabled the splash (for example) aren't supported.

I'm kind of frustrated. I've been trying to tunnel through my schools firewall to no avail. I've tried custom ports, port 80, 443, 8080, and even one I got from netstat that said was already established. Why isn't this working? Thanks in advance for any and all help.
