Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

Dont even know if there is such thing anyway, but the problem is that in my school the system tray has been disabled so when i close certain apps like limewire, msn, ceedo etc their aint no way i can get them back without oppening it again.

I've installed Xampp Lite on my flash drive. However, I'm unaware what URL to type to access the htdocs. I've read the instructions here: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#1179 but there is nothing about how to access the app on a flash drive. Can anyone assist?

I'd also like to take it a step further and make the XAMPP Server available to everyone on a network. How can I do this? Is it Possible?

Anyone know of a good portable proxy that can bind to a specific nic?

Can't use it or with any other type of menu. It works fine when it is not in the Portable Apps Menu or anything else... My symptoms are a skinless window and instant crashing the moment I start typing in the Launchy window... any fixes?

Has anyone used OperaTor 2.1 on their USB drives. OperaTor is a software bundle that can be easily installed on a portable memory (pendrive, usb stick, hard drive) to allow anonymous surfing while at an internet cafe, library etc. It combines the power of the Opera Browser, The Onion Router and Privoxy. With OperaTor no data will be stored at the computer you plugged your portable memory into. But when I open it from the PortableApps manager, I get an error that says it can't locate Tor. Any suggestions?

Anyone here use Lotus notes or more to the point Notes on a stick?

Whenever I try to open the portable.exe (which is the CCleaner Portable Launcher) I get an error message and nothing else happens not even a blank window... Help!

I am using Windows XP Pro under a limited account.

I have used a program called emailSTRIPPER from PaperCut software for years. It's great! It is only one EXE file, so it works great as a portable program. I thought I'd mention it so that maybe someone will package it for PortableApps.com. Here is some info about it:

Hi,
I am now using the U3 versions of both Winscp and Putty. However, how can I make WINSCP 'see' the U3 putty?
I need to write something in the Putty path in the integration tab, but the putty.exe is inside its U3 package, as all the files in Winscp installation as well.

Hope anyone has any feedback for that.

I used to have an old Palm Pilot, and what I now use its their Contact manager in Palm Pilot desktop b/c I can hide contacts and keep lots of stuff there.

Is there a similar app, to be used in my U3 stick and get rid of the Palm Desktop software?
