Any News on Lapwing?
How do you install new programs on it?
Hey, y'all fellow Bible students on pa.com:
The free Bible Study software mentioned above is available below:
http://www.theword.gr/en/index.php
And according to portablefreeware, is portable via using Universal Extractor to unpack it. Tried it out a few days ago - me like!
Finally, the excellent - but not particularly portable - E-sword has a worthy rival (sorry, me no likey "Sword Project" - even tho' it IS portable - due to its butt-ugly interface)...
Version 2 of this proggy is OK, but I like version 3 better, tho' 'tis still in beta.
I was struck by an idea as I read a thread today about "Adobe InDesign" (not sure why it didn't occur to me earlier), and I thought I'd turn it into a thread. The thought here is this:
I do not pack a cell phone (makes me feel like I have a leash and collar around my neck) but I have a need to keep in touch. And, since I now am in up to my hips in PortableApps I do everything I can centered on being portable. So....here's what I have put in place. I downloaded the FREE software Audio Caller ID from this URL:
In response to the "What's on your portable?" threads we've seen here, I had a thought that hits closer to home for me, so I thought I'd start this thread:
Others and I have on occasion gleaned some useful app or another that we didn't know about from such threads as these, but not often, mainly cuz folks simply LIST their wares, rather than give us links or tell us about said apps. There ought to be, I'm thinking, something that will encourage folk to tell us something about these favorite apps they have on their drives.
I use PStart and don't seem to have had any problems with any of the applications running.
However, i do notice the icons in PStart seem to 'float'. eg sometimes the FireFox icon appears next to Thunderbird. Sometimes it seems as many as 6 have floated.
Occasionally the odd desktop icons seem to have floated.
While no-one else to the best of my knowledge has mentioned this i'd be interested to know what a possible cause could be. It didn't happen before i used portable apps so i am just assuming that it is something to do with it!
thanks
Hello,
I am having some major issues here. Today I picked up a 4gig usb drive. THANK GOD it doesn't have u3 on it being that I am running vista. Anyways. I have roboform set to autorun but I can't get anything else autorunning. Below is my autorun.ini file. If someone could tell me what to put in it so that it can run both roboform and pstart that would be great. Thanks in advance. I tried searching the forum and google with nothing helping me there.
[AutoRun]
open=PortableRoboForm.exe
action=Launch RoboForm2Go
shell\RoboForm2Go=Launch RoboForm2Go
