Just started using PicPick Portable and it's a very good program.
Only one thing is annoying me.
Exiting PicPick doesn't shut it down ... it minimises to the icon notification area (I'm using Windows 7 64bit if that's important).
To completely exit I have to go into the icon area, right click on the PicPick icon and select exit.
Does anyone know if there is there a setting inside PicPick to exit when you click exit (and not minimise?)
I've looked at the PicPick setting and can't find it (doesn't mean it's not there, just I'm overlooking it :p)
I am having a frustrating time getting jPortable 7 to work with either portable Chrome and Firefox. Sites that I visit that require the java runtime environment do not work. The browser says "Couldn't load plug-in". Everything is installed the way it should in my thumbdrive with Java in the Commonfiles directory.
I'm using Chrome version 38 with jPortable 7 Update 71 and Windows XP. It used to work a few days ago then something went wrong.
In Chrome, I checked for Java with chrome://plugins/ and it is enabled.
Any help would be deeply appreciated!
Hello,
I need to edit the home page directly on the preferences file, but it it work. It seems that chrome generates a key when you change the settings, therefore you are unable to change them directly in the preferences file.
Any idea on how I can do that?
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I am experiencing a problem with Geany Portable v1.24.
When I select the editor's color scheme via [ Menu > View > Change Color Scheme ], all but the row highlight color is set, which remains the default opaque light grey.
Is there a setting or tweak to change this or is it perhaps a bug? Is anyone else having the same issue?
Since I got the recent update to Chrome, which I think was on Friday, fonts are mich bigger. This happened two updates ago as well, but the one that followed, fixed it again, anyone know what is going on here and how I fix it?
Chrome was one of the Apps that updated when I started the Portable apps platform. I'm running from an 8gig USB 2.0 drive under Windows 8.1 will all current updates. Of the 8GB, well over 7GB are free. When I start Chrome, it lags so far behind any input that it's impossible to use. The internet is slow, but even something as simple as typing a URL takes at least 60 sec before any characters appear. Forget using a scroll bar it is many seconds before the full page is cached and the scroll is responsive.
I've been using the program and really enjoy it. But the nice thing is I can import account transactions downloaded directly form my checking account. But a problem that I'm having is with the date formatting. I use the format of MM-DD-YYYY. But some reason when the data is imported in, it's switched to DD/MM/YYYY. This ends up totally messing up the new entries to the database. I readjust the date format even before applying the changes and nothing works. The new data imports wrong and messes me up all the time. Any suggestions?
Is the version of HWMonitor on PortableApps the 64-bit or the 32-bit version, or is PortableApps smart enough to download both and use the correct version?
If not, should both be offered?
Open the program, open an image, press SHIFT + E and you will see the bugged window.
EDIT: Not a bug, was a conflict in my settings file (xnview.ini).
