Switch PeerBlock to 1.1 Beta?

I'm debating switching PeerBlock Portable from the 1.1 stable branch to the 1.1+ beta branch. 1.1 was last updated in November 2010. There are now some issues with lists only being allowed to update weekly and the old 1.1 doesn't handle that as well. 1.1+ automatically switches to weekly and included improved error messaging around when a blocked update happens. It does switch to VC++ 2008 and drops Win2K support (not that we support it anymore) but just something to include. Thoughts?

[RELEASE/SOURCE] Simple Grunge Theme 11.2/12.0b2

Submitted by BloodSkin on January 5, 2014 - 2:25pm

Not sure where i should post this, but its just a simple theme i have been playing with for a few hours. it is by no means complete.

PSD files are included with layers set up in a way that you can figure out what goes where in case you want a template to start making your own backgrounds with.

to remove transparency just open the chrome.psd file, disable the pink layer, and save as chrome.png in the same folder.

PA Companion

Submitted by pau on January 1, 2014 - 3:33am

I'm interested in giving away engraved USB keys with Portableapps Platform to special customers as a gift.

Is the Suite installed in the PA-Companion placed in a ROM or is it deletable by my customers (not apreciated)?

If it is simply preinstalled in the FLASH part and as I'm located in Germany, could I simply buy some blank USB keys an install a PA-Platform with preselected programs suitable for them?

And: Would it be a problem with engraving the German Umlauts (ä, ö, ü)?

Removing a default Menu option - Music

Submitted by _newbie on January 1, 2014 - 2:58am

I have version 11.2 and I need help in removing "Music" from my main menu.
I have read back issues on this and from what I can tell, the information is outdated.

Is there a way to remove it?

I am using this as a utility tool at work and I believe if IT was to see "music" they would think it non-work related.

Thanks ahead for any suggestions.

Carbide Poor fulfilment, experience leaves a lot to be desired

I concur with "beeje"'s comment.
To support PortableApps which I and colleagues use (in addition to donating), I have bought some of these Carbides to give as gifts, but it has blown up in my face and I am now scrambling to support what should have been a trouble-free gift.

How do you change the location of autorun.inf?

I'm looking for a way to change the location of the autorun.inf file so that the portable apps platform can still 'read' its contents. Currently this file is in the main area of my flashdrive, but for sake of organization I'd rather it be in the portable apps folder. Is there a file I can change to alter the location of autorun.inf?
